SkillRank

Editorial policy

How SkillRank publishes trustworthy AI content

SkillRank combines human-edited explainers, transparent methodology, and verified public data. This policy explains how pages are written, checked, corrected, and separated from advertising incentives.

Editorial purpose

SkillRank exists to help product teams compare AI models, agent tools, retrieval systems, media generators, and coding workflows. Rankings are informational and should be used as a starting point for evaluation, not as procurement advice.

Sources and verification

Closed vendor model profiles are reviewed against official provider pages, release notes, pricing pages, and documentation where available. GitHub-backed tools and skills are verified through the GitHub API before repository metrics are shown.

AI-assisted drafting

SkillRank may use AI assistance to draft outlines, summarize public documentation, or generate first-pass comparison language. Final pages are edited for accuracy, usefulness, source clarity, and conservative claims before publication.

Corrections

Corrections are welcome when they include an official source, repository URL, pricing page, release note, or maintainer explanation. Material corrections are prioritized when they affect availability, safety, pricing, or ranking interpretation.

Advertising and affiliate independence

Ads and affiliate relationships do not determine ranking order. Sponsored placements, if introduced, will be visually labeled and separated from editorial rankings.

Update cadence

The crawler runs daily for GitHub-backed data and daily picks. Editorial model pages are updated when official releases, pricing changes, or documentation changes materially affect the profile.
